Acrobat Distiller Setup

To set up Acrobat Distiller, you will need to install the Creo Distiller Assistant and configure Distiller's PDF settings.

Click here to download and install the Creo Distiller Assistant. Choose the applicable version of Distiller below to place the Creo Distiller Assistant.

  1. Acrobat Distiller 7.0: Place Creo Distiller Assistant on your hard drive/Library/Application support/Adobe PDF/Startup/CreoDistillerAssistant.
  2. Acrobat Distiller 6.0: Place Creo Distiller Assistant on your hard drive/Users/Shared/Adobe PDF 6.0/Startup/CreoDistillerAssistant.
  3. Acrobat Distiller 4 or 5: Download Creo Distiller Assistant and then follow instructions below to create the Scotsman_Guide.joboptions preference. Place Creo Distiller Assistant on your hard drive/Application/Adobe Acrobat/Distiller/Startup/CreoDistillerAssistant. Note: If there is a file in the startup folder called Example.ps, you must delete it.

To set up the correct PDF settings, launch Distiller. From the menu bar, choose Settings > Edit Adobe PDF Settings..., and apply the following settings.

Click "Save As", name the preset "Scotsman_Guide" and save to your prefered hard drive location.

When distilling PDFs for Scotsman Guide, ensure that the "Scotsman_Guide" job option is selected.
