Live by the acronym GOYA — Get Off Your Anatomy. This is the way out of any sales slump. If sales are down now, it’s probably because your activity levels were lower 60 to 90 days ago. Or you forgot the basics and fundamentals that worked. Or you stopped doing those things you did when you were excited, new and building your career. Always go back to the basics and fundamentals. Never forget that if a slump comes today, it probably started a while back, when you had a negative thought process and started dwelling on things with which you weren’t happy. But if you’ll GOYA and see more people, you’ll work yourself out of any slump.
Finally, realize that a key to a good attitude is being proud of what you do. Selling is the highest-paid hard work and the lowest-paid easy work. You should walk with your head held high because you chose to sell for a living. Go out and do the best job ever.
