Bothell, WA -- April 5, 2011 -- Scotsman Guide, the leading resource for mortgage originators, has released its second annual Top Originators rankings, the industry’s most comprehensive list of its kind. The list, which ranks the nation's top mortgage brokers, originators and bankers, appears in Scotsman Guide's April 2011 residential edition, with additional rankings online at scotsmanguide.com/Top2010.
Scotsman Guide received entries from nearly 700 mortgage professionals. More than 200 top entrants appear in print, ranked by their: overall dollar volume; loans closed; Federal Housing Administration-loan volume; purchase volume; refinance volume; and volume gain from 2009 to 2010. In addition, top entrants ranked by U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and U.S. Department of Agriculture-loan volumes are listed in online-exclusive rankings.
To be eligible for initial consideration in Scotsman Guide’s Top Originators rankings, originators must have had at least $30 million in loan volume or 100 closed home loans for the 2010 calendar year. Only loans and volume that originators closed personally could be considered. After receiving submissions, Scotsman Guide required written verification of top entrants’ volume from a certified public accountant, the chief financial officer at the originator's company or a similar source.
In addition to being listed in the print and digital versions of Scotsman Guide's residential edition and online, mortgage professionals appearing in the Top Originators 2010 list can order reprints at scotsmanguide.com/reprint10.
