Notable mortgage industry hires and promotions, August 24-August 28

 
Evans

Fannie Mae has appointed Michele Evans, previously senior vice president and chief operating officer of the enterprise’s multifamily operation, as executive vice president and head of multifamily. She has also held other leadership positions at Fannie, including management of the sales and marketing team and leading the negotiated transactions team. Prior to joining Fannie Mae in 1992, she was vice president of commercial real estate at Hunter and Associates. She has also held the positions of vice president of finance at GMD Corporation and vice president at DRG Financial Corporation. She has a bachelor of science degree in finance from Tulane University.

 
Burns

ReverseVision has announced the hire of Justin Burns as vice president of operations. He will oversee company operations, identifying opportunities for process and structural optimization. He holds two decades of experience leading operations for financial and technology organizations, most recently heading service delivery operations at San Diego County Credit Union. Prior to that, he worked with Clear Solutions Advisors, Pointivity Cloud Solutions and Alliant International University. Burns has a master of business administration in information technology and business management.

 
Weiler
 
Gutierrez

ReverseVision has also added a pair of senior software engineers: Aron Weiler and Alan Gutierrez. Weiler has more than 20 years’ experience heading software teams, most recently at Truvian and BD. Gutierrez has a decade of experience at global technology and medical device manufacturing corporations, having previously worked at Breg, Cisco and BD.

Churchill Mortgage has announced the appointment of Martin Ford to vice president of credit risk. In this role, he will lead the underwriting team to help manage risk, credit quality and product portfolios. He brings more than 30 years of experience in financial services to Churchill Mortgage. Prior to joining the Churchill team, Ford led national credit and underwriting teams at Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase Bank, U.S. Bank and TCF Bank.

NewRez has announced that Brad Jones has joined the company as chief marketing officer effective immediately. As CMO, he will oversee the strategic planning, development and execution of marketing and advertising efforts across all NewRez lending channels. Most recently, he served as vice president of marketing strategy at Guaranteed Rate; prior to that, he was vice president and director of sales at OneTrust Home Loans. He began his lending career at Quicken Loans.

Griffin

Nomis Solutions has appointed Shelly Griffin as sales director and client partner for the mortgage sector. In this role, Griffin will work closely with Nomis’ mortgage banking clients to understand their business needs and shape the development of the company’s price optimization, price execution and sales enablement products. She brings 22 years of experience in mortgage banking, joining Nomis from Deephaven Mortgage, where she served as vice president of client development. Prior to that, she also held leadership positions at Wells Fargo and Goldman Sachs. She is based near Charlotte.

 
DeGennaro

Title Alliance, Ltd., has promoted Patti DeGennaro as chief implementation officer. In her new position, she will be responsible for operational training and startups of new entities. Since joining Title Alliance in 1985, DeGennaro has held many positions within the company, including regional director and senior operations manager. Prior to joining Title Alliance, she worked as a petroleum landman and completed title searches and exams in courthouses throughout three states. She has a master’s degree in business administration and paralegal certificate from Duquesne University and an undergraduate degree in economics and regional planning from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

 
Buscemi

Union Home Mortgage (UHM) announced today the hiring of Phil Buscemi as vice president of direct lending at its Strongsville, Ohio, headquarters. With more than 25 years of mortgage banking experience, Buscemi will focus on expanding UHM’s direct-to-consumer lending business. He spent the last four years as president of JG Wentworth Home Lending, which was acquired by Freedom Mortgage in 2019. Prior to that, Prior to his role at UHM, he held positions at Weststar Mortgage, Union Mortgage Group, Mortgage Edge Corporation and Independence Financial Mortgage Corporation. He is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic & State University.

 
Schuck

Eastern Equity Advisors, an affiliate company of Eastern Union, has promoted Yehuda Schuck to the position of managing director. In this role, Schuck will manage and broaden the company’s network of private equity funds, real estate funds, family offices, hedge funds and institutions. Previously, Schuck was Eastern Equity Advisors’ vice president, a position he had held since August 2017.

Higgins

Promontory MortgagePath has hired Jordan Higgins and Kim Joyce as regional vice presidents in the company’s sales division. Higgins has 12 years of sales and management experience, spending five years as vice president of correspondent sales at Verus Mortgage Capital prior to joining Promontory. Joyce brings almost 30 years of sales experience to Promontory, most recently, as business development executive for client solutions at Opus Capital Markets Consultants. She also has previous experience with Computershare Loan Services, Sutherland Global Services, ISGN, LenderLive Network and FISERV.
