Notable mortgage industry hires and promotions, June 27-July 1

Angel Oak Home Loans announced the hiring of Steven Valladares as its vice president of correspondent sales. In his new role, Valladares will be responsible for creating and implementing a sales infrastructure to support internal and external sales teams. Valladares brings more than 30 years of experience in the mortgage industry to Angel Oak’s correspondent channel. He has held vice president positions and has overseen national sales and capital-markets teams at Wells Fargo and Fannie Mae. He earned his master’s of business administration degree from Wake Forest University.

Union Home Mortgage announced the promotion of Kim Swann to the position of team lead for Morristown, Tennessee, and the surrounding area. In this role, Swann will help produce and originate conventional, FHA, VA, USDA and Tennessee Housing Development Agency loans for homebuyers while also building a team of lenders to serve the region.

PrimeLending announced the promotion of Michael Heeb to area manager in the Pacific Northwest region, overseeing Alaska, Idaho and Montana. He brings 20 years of mortgage industry experience to his new role after seven years as a branch manager at the company’s Eagle, Idaho, office and its seven satellite branches, including Bozeman, Montana.

CoreLogic announced that Patrick Dodd has been appointed as president and CEO. Dodd, who has been serving as interim CEO since January, will continue to serve on the company’s board of directors. Prior to being named interim CEO, he served as the company’s chief operating and growth officer.

Roostify announced that Nadia Aziz has joined the company as chief operating officer. She comes to Roostify with 20-plus years of financial-services and fintech experience, with a specialized focus in home lending. Prior to joining Roostify, Aziz served as general manager of Opendoor Home Loans. She also has held various executive leadership positions, including chief commercial officer at Optimal Blue and vice president at Capital One.

LenderClose added Jenny Vipperman, chief lending officer for Florida-based VyStar Credit Union, to its board of directors. Vipperman brings 15 years of experience in lending and financial services. In Vipperman’s current role, she leads strategy for VyStar’s lending portfolio, including real estate, consumer and commercial lending.

iEmergent, a forecasting and advisory services firm for the financial-services, mortgage and real estate industries, announced the appointment of Megan Horn as chief marketing officer. In this role, Horn will oversee marketing, public relations, brand management and customer experience for the growing company. Prior to her appointment as CMO, Horn consulted with iEmergent through her own outfit, Megan Horn Digital. Prior to that, Horn was marketing director at Far Reach. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and an MBA from the University of Northern Iowa.
