Notable mortgage industry hires and promotions, June 20-24

JLL Capital Markets announced that managing director Martha Nay has been appointed to lead its newly formed multifamily housing investment sales advisory team in the company’s Boston office. Nay will work with director Kellie Coveney to provide investment sales advisory services for multifamily housing clients in the Boston market. The two will work closely with director Jacqueline Meagher, who specializes in multifamily housing debt and equity advisory. The trio joined JLL as part of its HFF acquisition in 2019. Together, the team provides almost 30 years of experience in commercial real estate.

7 Mortgage, a jointly owned credit union service organization of ORNL Federal Credit Union and Consumer Credit Union in Knoxville, Tennessee, named Travis Morrow as president. Morrow has worked in the mortgage and finance industry for 10 years, most recently as vice president of mortgage lending at ORNL Federal Credit Union.

Legacy Performance Capital, an affiliated asset management and investment firm of international real estate sales and marketing company Legacy International, has named Tommy Tucker to the newly created position of chief operating officer. Tucker is the former vice president and general manager of Johnson Development Corp. and also was vice president of residential assets in Austin for Crescent Communities. Prior to that, he was vice president of Catellus Development.

Agents National Title Insurance Co., an Incenter firm, has promoted Candi Slobodnik to Central States regional manager, a step up from her previous position as Midwest underwriting counsel. Slobodnik is charged with increasing the company’s agency relationships in Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. She also will oversee the sales and underwriting teams in her region. She holds a J.D. from Creighton University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in public administration from Northwest Missouri State University.

Xactus, the leading verification innovator for the mortgage industry, announced that Michael Crockett has been named to the newly created role of chief data officer. Crockett will develop and manage the data strategy for Xactus, providing strategic direction around the company’s data strategy, developing new data analytics capabilities and products, and working closely with the technology team. With almost 25 years of experience, Crockett was formerly executive vice president of data solutions at Xactus and served as executive vice president of product development at Credit Plus prior to Xactus’ acquisition of that company in September 2021. Crockett has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University.

EarnUp, a San Francisco-based fintech company offering intelligent payment and data solutions for the mortgage industry, announced the expansion of its executive team with four new appointments: Michelle Scanlon as chief people officer, Aileen Casanave as general counsel, Brad Woodcox as vice president of strategy and operations, and Johnathan Flowers as head of marketing. Scanlon joined EarnUp in 2020 with more than 15 years of experience at companies including Broadcom, Accela, Jiff and HelloSign. Casanave will oversee and manage EarnUp’s legal and regulatory compliance matters, and has served in general counsel or senior legal positions at many companies including Jiff, TIBCO, Sun Microsystems and Lockheed Martin. Woodcox joined EarnUp in 2017 to create and lead the partnerships and business development teams, and has more than 20 years of experience. Flowers brings more than 25 years of marketing, design and creative experience to EarnUp, having held senior positions at companies such as Google, PayPal, Amazon, PubNub, eBay, Agilent and HP.

Bonzo, a relationship management platform provider for mortgage and real estate professionals, announced that Chad Jampedro has been named the company’s CEO. The former CEO of GO Mortgage and Loanmarq, Jampedro’s duties will include navigating the capital and investor space, supporting and inspiring the Bonzo team, and establishing internal systems to support planned growth. Jampedro began his career as a loan originator before becoming a partner in GO Mortgage and ascending to the role of president, where he remained until April 2022.
