Notable mortgage industry hires and promotions, Sept. 19-23

Embrace Home Loans announced that leading mortgage originator Michael Puorro has joined its branch in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, as producing sales manager. Puorro has more than 17 years of mortgage industry experience. He spent the past nine years as a top-producing originator at Caliber Home Loans. Also joining Embrace from Caliber are Matt Rossine, junior loan officer; Eric Hantson, business development associate; and Chantelle Perkins, business development associate.

JLL Capital Markets announced that it welcomed Dante Thomas as a managing director on its affordable housing production team. Thomas, who is based in Philadelphia, most recently served as vice president of product originations for Berkadia Commercial Mortgage. Before spending four years with Berkadia, Thomas served as the director of real estate for the Housing Partnership Equity Trust, which is now majority owned by Lincoln Avenue Capital. Thomas started his career as a senior asset manager and underwriter with Fannie Mae’s multifamily housing mortgage business and also worked for the District of Columbia’s Housing Finance Agency as a senior development officer. Thomas earned a master’s degree in real estate from Johns Hopkins University and bachelor’s degree in finance from Georgia State University.

Scotsman Guide added Natalie Dalton as a senior account executive with the focus of growing current lender partnerships and cultivating new lender connections with the sales team. She brings more than15 years of sales and service experience to Scotsman Guide, with the past seven years being in the mortgage industry.

RiskSpan, a technology company providing data management and analytics for residential mortgage and structured products, appointed Patricia Black as its chief client officer. Black takes over responsibility for managing client success across the full array of RiskSpan’s Edge Platform and services offerings. As a senior leader at Fannie Mae between 2005 and 2016, Black served in a number of roles, including as chief audit executive in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis; as head of strategic initiatives; and as head of financial controls and SOX. More recently, Black headed operations at SoFi Home Loans and served as chief of staff at Caliber Home Loans.

The National Apartment Association welcomed Angel Baltimore as its new senior vice president of information technology. Most recently, she served as the vice president of digital strategy and e-commerce for the American Pharmacists Association. Prior to Baltimore’s work there, she held prominent technology roles with both the State Department Federal Credit Union and the American Institute of Architects. Baltimore is a graduate of American University and holds a business intelligence certificate from Villanova University.

California Regional Multiple Listing Service (CRMLS) announced the promotion of Sarah Trent Miranda to chief relationship officer. Miranda has led the company’s education and product development departments since 2015, and she recently became the director of business development for Venture MLS, a new venture capital firm built by CRMLS to serve brokers, agents and multiple listing services.

Appraisal Logistics, a provider of appraisal management technology and compliance solutions for the mortgage industry, announced that Keegan Doyle joined its team as director of marketing. Doyle will concentrate on marketing efforts for the company’s AIM-Port appraisal management technology. Before joining Appraisal Logistics, Doyle spent two and a half years at Reggora. Doyle graduated from Boston College with a bachelor’s degree in management and a concentration in marketing.
