Fannie Mae’s chief compliance and ethics officer, Nancy Jardini, has reportedly been fired by Bill Pulte, director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), according to a post on X by a Semafor reporter, citing an anonymous source familiar with the decision.

While neither the FHFA nor Fannie Mae has made an announcement regarding Jardini’s employment status, her profile in the leadership team section of Fannie Mae’s website had been removed as of Friday afternoon.

The FHFA did not immediately respond to Scotsman Guide’s request for comment.

As head of the FHFA, Pulte oversees both Fannie Mae and fellow government-sponsored enterprise Freddie Mac. On March 20, Pulte fired Freddie Mac CEO Diana Reid and placed both FHFA Chief Operating Officer Gina Cross and Human Resources Director Monica Mathews on leave. He also overhauled the Fannie and Freddie boards this month, ousting 14 board members in total.
