Industry Watch: Rocket adds ‘Inflation Buster,’ Ross Mortgage expands farther south and more

Amrock announced the introduction of proprietary technology to electronically close mortgage transactions entirely from a mobile device. The new innovation is part of Amrock parent Rocket Companies’ drive to offer a completely digital home loan experience for consumers, including the ability to apply, receive approval and lock their rate for a mortgage entirely from their smartphone. Amrock’s mobile-closing capacity is available on Apple and Android phones.

Rocket Mortgage announced the launch of “Inflation Buster,” a new program designed to reduce homebuyers’ monthly mortgage payment by one percentage point for the first year of their loan. The lower rate is accomplished through a special escrow account established and fully funded by Rocket Mortgage. During the first 12 months, the homeowner will make the reduced mortgage payment and Rocket Mortgage will cover the difference automatically. The lower payment will be automatically provided to any Rocket Mortgage clients who apply for a conventional, FHA or VA purchase loan, and the company also is extending the offer to mortgage broker clients through Rocket Pro TPO.

The office is located at 220 Town Center Parkway, Suite 204, in Spring Hill. Ross Mortgage is now licensed to lend in 17 states through a network of offices in Michigan, Florida, Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee.
