Notable mortgage industry additions and promotions, March 25-29

Guaranteed Rate has announced the appointment of Carlos Mata as Atlanta branch manager. He earned an MBA in international business from Georgia State University.

A&D Mortgage has announced the addition of two new account executives, Greg Ciprut and Catrina Hegarty. Ciprut joins A&D Mortgage with over a decade of industry experience. Previously, he was an account executive at First Savings Bank and held roles at Fairway Wholesale Lending, AnnieMac Home Mortgage and Kinecta Federal Credit Union. Hegarty brings to A&D Mortgage a career spanning over two decades, having most recently led business development at Neat Loans. Her previous roles include director at Argus Research and account executive positions at EquiFirst Corporation and NovaStar Mortgage.

Planet Home Lending has hired Andy Insua as regional sales manager for the Southeast. Insua previously held leadership roles at AmeriFirst Home Mortgage and served as a senior vice president at Fifth Third Bank.

West Capital Lending has added Matthew Blackmer as vice president of business development. Previously, Blackmer held roles at Rocket Pro TPO, serving as a loan officer before being named senior director, partner events.

Regions Bank has announced that Katie Such has been elevated to serve as head of Regions Affordable Housing. Such joined Regions Affordable Housing in 2016 as head of Distribution and Investor Services and was promoted to operations manager in 2019. Prior to joining Regions, Such held affordable housing leadership positions at PNC Bank served as the deputy executive director for the Housing Authority of Portland. Such earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oregon and a Master of Business Administration from Portland State University.

Argyle has announced the addition of Jason Cave, former chief fintech officer and deputy director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency’s Division of Conservatorship Oversight and Readiness, to its board of advisors. Before joining the FHFA, Cave spent 27 years at FDIC, where he served in numerous positions including as a senior advisor within the Division of Complex Institution, Supervision and Resolution.
