Notable mortgage industry hires and promotions, March 23-March 27

 
Bencks

Guaranteed Rate has added Michael Bencks as a new vice president of mortgage lending in Chicago. Bencks, who brings more than 15 years of mortgage experience to Guaranteed Rate, will primarily serve first-time homebuyers in the Chicago area, as well as luxury buyers and investors. Immediately prior to joining Guaranteed Rate, he was a branch manager and vice president of mortgage banking with Neighborhood Loans. Bencks earned a bachelor of science degree in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

 
Boyd

Guaranteed Rate has also added Zachary Boyd as a vice president of mortgage lending in Pittsburgh. Boyd, who comes to Guaranteed Rate from Provident Funding Associates L.P., adds to the company over seven years of mortgage experience in all facets of the industry, from customer service to processing to mortgage consulting. In his new role, he will build relationships with clients and partners throughout Pennsylvania as Guaranteed Rate continues to expand its presence in the state. He received a bachelor of arts degree in accounting from Washington and Jefferson college.

 
Hepp

CoreLogic has announced that Selma Hepp has joined the company as deputy chief economist. In her new role, she will communicate CoreLogic’s applied research to the company’s various audiences and expand the visibility of CoreLogic’s economic policy unit. Most recently, she served as chief economist and vice president of business intelligence at Compass and Pacific Union international. Her experience also includes serving as chief economist at Trulia; senior economist for the California Association of Realtors; and economist and manager of public policy and homeownership at the National Association of Realtors. She earned her master’s degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a Ph.D. in urban economics from the University of Maryland.

Klombies

Mortgage software fintech Total Expert has added Anna Klombies as its new chief people officer. Prior to joining Total Expert, Klombies was most recently senior vice president of human resources at SportsEngine. She has also held leadership roles at CBS MarketWatch and Dow Jones. Klombies, who has over 25 years of operational human resources experience, will focus on professional development, people operations, coaching, mentoring and improving company culture in her new role. Klombies graduated summa cum laude at Concordia University, St. Paul.

Krossner

Steven Krossner and Justin Oglesby have joined web-based lending platform LenderClose as software engineers. Krossner has nearly 10 years of experience in software development, with experience at The Nerdery and Open Systems International. He graduated with a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Lafayette College. Oglesby, meanwhile, most recently sharpened his software development skills at IMT Insurance after receiving his education at Indian Hills Community College.

 
Sutton

Robb Sutton has joined Homebridge Financial Services as Midwest regional manager, bringing over 25 years of industry of experience to the position. In his new role, he will focus on developing Homebridge’s branch presence throughout Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin.
