Notable mortgage industry hires and promotions, Jan. 16-20

Guaranty Home Mortgage Corp. (GHMC) expanded its retail lending division by adding Andy Voyles as its new executive vice president and director of retail lending. In his new role, Voyles will be responsible for overseeing, leading and growing GHMC’s retail division, which includes sales, operations, marketing, and profit-and-loss analysis. He began his lending career in 1997 with Norwest Financial and ascended to senior management roles at several companies, including Ace Mortgage Funding, First Community Mortgage and Bank of England Mortgage. He earned a degree in business management and operations management from Indiana University.

Lower promoted Chelsea Wagner to senior vice president of partnerships to lead its newly debuted mortgage-as-a-service lending platform. Wagner has been with Lower for four years, most recently as the company’s senior vice president of purchase lending and real estate. Prior to joining Lower, she held various leadership positions at Homeside Financial.

Waterstone Mortgage promoted Rico Garcia to vice president of enterprise risk. In his new role, he will oversee Waterstone’s mortgage quality control, title services, portfolio risking management and compliance teams. Garcia, who brings more than 20 years of experience to his new position, joined Waterstone in 2017 as quality control manager and was promoted to director of quality control, portfolio risk management and vendor management in January 2022.

Planet Home Lending announced that retail branch manager Ricardo Maldonado will lead the company’s newly added team in Kissimmee, Florida.

Greystone announced that Rich Martinez has been named as head of production for agency lending. The promotion comes after Martinez joined the firm in 2022 as executive managing director of multifamily sales and production. In this new role, Martinez will lead all agency loan origination efforts, particularly market-rate multifamily loans for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. He also will focus on expanding Greystone’s institutional borrower network, recruiting and geographic expansion, and enhancements and optimizations of the firm’s joint venture relationship with Cushman & Wakefield. Prior to Greystone, Martinez served as senior vice president of production and sales at Freddie Mac, where he worked for more than 34 years in various roles.

JLL Capital Markets announced that Chad Coluccio has joined its national loans sales team as a managing director. Coluccio, who will be based out of the firm’s office in Orange County, California, will source, evaluate and execute performing and nonperforming loan sales, real estate-owned portfolio sales and distressed debt opportunities across all property types. Prior to joining JLL, Coluccio spent 13 years in a similar role at Mission Capital Advisors.

Altisource Asset Management Corp. announced that Danya Sawyer has been named chief operating officer of its alternative lending group (ALG), effective Feb. 1. As COO, Sawyer will build and oversee operations across all product lines to support ALG’s market share. Prior to joining the company, Sawyer was at Countrywide and Bank of America, where she held various senior management positions. She earned her degree in international economics from the University of California at Berkeley.

Elevated Title hired Jason Reddy as its new vice president of national sales. Reddy, who is based in Hilton Head, South Carolina, is an 18-year veteran of the title and settlement industry. Prior to joining Elevated Title, he worked for Doma, where he was the senior enterprise sales director for residential title and escrow services.
