When Bill Pulte, director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), announced a rollout of VantageScore 4.0 credit scores for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans during an April 22 press conference, he said it would initially be limited to 21 approved lenders.
He didn’t say which had been selected, only that it would be the “big guys,” though he specifically mentioned Rocket Mortgage and Pennymac.
