The American Enterprise Institute (AEI) and Urban Institute (UI) launched a joint commission on Thursday tasked with preparing employers and policymakers for widely anticipated workforce disruptions fueled by rapid advancements in artificial intelligence.
Co-chaired by Democratic former secretary of the U.S. Department of Commerce during the Biden administration, Gina Raimondo, and Republican former speaker of the House of Representatives, Paul Ryan, the Commission on AI and the Future of the American Workforce is designed to bridge deep partisan divides that the AI transition risks widening.
