Blend has introduced Roger Ferguson as the latest addition to its board of directors. Before his retirement, Ferguson served as the vice chairman of the Board of Governors of the U.S. Federal Reserve System from 1997 to 2006, and as the CEO and president of TIAA, a position he held for more than 13 years. He holds a J.D. and a Ph.D. from Harvard University.
Guaranteed Rate has named Liz Heitmann as a vice president of mortgage lending to serve borrowers and business partners in Santa Barbara, California. She joins Guaranteed Rate with more than 25 years of real estate finance experience, including positions at Wintrust Mortgage, Flagstar Bank, PNC Mortgage, Caliber Funding and US Bank. She earned a BA in Science and History at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Gateway Mortgage has announced Jeff Schmidt as its regional vice president over North Texas. In this role, Jeff will use his more than 35 years of experience in the mortgage Industry to lead over 20 mortgage centers, including the Dallas metropolitan area. Schmidt has been with Gateway for over 10 years serving in a variety of roles from area sales manager to chief mortgage officer.
Evergreen Home Loans has announced that Carolyn Garris has been promoted to director of marketing. Garris previously served as senior marketing manager and has been with Evergreen Home Loans for nearly seven years. In this new role, she will continue to oversee field marketing for Evergreen Home Loans and lead the company’s marketing team.
Hillwood has added Jordan McFarland as an associate in Acquisitions and Joint Ventures. He will assist the team through financial analysis of acquisitions and joint venture opportunities and work side by side with Vice President Tom Fishman on dispositions. McFarland transitioned from Hillwood’s investment team, which he was a part for the past three years.
Bianca Broos has been named executive vice president of the newly formed AXIS Lending Academy. She is also the principal owner and founder of brand strategy firm Bianca Broos Company, which she has operated for more than 15 years. She attended Sonoma State University.
Red Oak Compliance Solutions has hired Aaron Berger as vice president of implementations. In his new role, he will be responsible for working with new Red Oak clients as they adopt and implement the company’s software-as-a-service solution. Prior to joining Red Oak, Aaron spent more than 15 years working in the compliance industry. His most recent role was director of professional services and project management at NRS.
