2026 Magazine Deadlines
Please Note: These magazine deadlines are subject to change without notice. A late fee may be assessed for any ad copy received after the deadline. If new artwork is not received by the deadline, Scotsman Guide will use the previous month’s ad copy. Cover artwork is due prior to the artwork deadline. Refer to your advertising agreement for the due date.

Magazine Ad Submission Requirements
Preferred Format:
- High resolution PDF
- Embed all fonts
- CMYK
- 300 DPI
- No crop or bleed marks
- QR Codes should be 100% black, no color builds

Disclaimer
Please be aware that artwork is subject to color/tonal shifts inherent to the printing process. The printer will strive to match the colors in your ad but cannot guarantee precise replication of colors.
Advertorial Guidelines
Does your ad contain more than 20% text? If so, these guidelines are made for you!
- Advertiser logo(s) must be included in the advertorial and meet a minimum sizeof 2.5 inches in width
- Advertisers may not include an ad within an ad
- Typefaces and layout should bear no resemblance to standard editorial templates in Scotsman Guide publications including, but not limited to, fonts, font size, leading, layout, style, illustration style and color
- No pull-quotes are allowed with similar look to Scotsman Guide templates
- Scotsman Guide will add the text “PAID ADVERTISEMENT” at the top of each page of every ad deemed an advertorial
- No reference to Scotsman Guide can be included in the headline or main body text
- Each advertorial ad should include at least one headline that is 18-point type or larger
- Scotsman Guide reserves the right to add a 1-point black keyline around the edge of the ad

Magazine Cover Advertising
Cover Specs
Artwork for cover advertisements should be 9″ x 6.75″ with a .125″ bleed. The final size should be 9.25” wide x 7” high.
Look & Feel
Scotsman Guide is featuring your company, somewhat like Time’s “Person of the Year”. Hence, we require that our monthly front cover feature have the look and feel of the classic front cover of a magazine, rather than that of a display ad.
Splash Concept
The cover ad should be simple and eye-catching in its use of graphics and color. You can incorporate your company logo or URL in the design, however, the URL must be less than 3.625” long.
Teasers
Limit the words to one or two short phrases intended to pique readers’ interest and to entice them to look for more information about your company inside. The advertisement on the inside spread should relate to the cover teaser.
What Not to Include
Please do not include page references, phone numbers, email addresses or redirect links in your front cover ad. You can incorporate your company logo or URL in the design, however, the URL must be less than 3.625” long.
QR Codes
If you add a QR code it must be placed in the lower section of the ad and can be no larger than .5″.
Portrait Imagery
If portraits are included in ads or advertorial images, the portrait photography must be a professional-quality image (including lighting, wardrobe and overall general quality). Resolution must adhere to standard cover specs with the original photo being a minimum of 350 dpi at 100 percent.
