Industry Watch: Infosys, Better announce partnership and more

Newrez announced the launch of a new joint venture mortgage company, Carnegie Mortgage Partners, in concert with Keller Williams Bergen County Partners. This new partnership brings homeowners in the state of New Jersey a network of real estate agents that can offer a mortgage product suite from Newrez and Newrez Ventures.

CoreLogic announced its launch of a new property measuring and sketching tool, dubbed ScanToSketch. The tool uses a combination of LiDAR (light detection and ranging) and augmented reality (AR) technology to allow appraisers to complete their scans in minutes, building a full exterior footprint of a home and enabling instant access to the sketches for real-time, on-site adjustments. According to CoreLogic, ScanToSketch has been used to complete more than 20,000 property reviews and has been featured in more than 12,000 appraisal reports to date.

Infosys and Better announced a new collaboration, launching Mortgage as a Service (MaaS), an integrated end-to-end digital mortgage white-label platform. Better, a direct lender that has funded more than $100 billion in mortgage volume since 2017, also offers processing and underwriting of digital mortgages for other lenders — notably Ally Bank, which Better has worked with since 2019. By partnering with Infosys — one of the mortgage industry’s most prevalent digital service providers — Better is looking to secure partnerships with more lenders.
