Notable mortgage industry additions and promotions, April 15-19

Geneva Financial has announced that Jessie Ermel has joined its leadership team as chief compliance officer. As CCO, Ermel will drive quality control and compliance for the company’s mortgage operations. She has a bachelor’s degree in music performance.

Certainty Home Lending, a Guaranteed Rate company, has added a pair of veteran loan originators in Andrew Siddon and Andre Kahramanian. Siddon joins the Certainty team as executive vice president, divisional manager, Mid-Atlantic, charged with spearheading the brand’s growth in the greater Washington D.C. metro market as well as the larger Mid-Atlantic division. He comes to Certainty Home Lending with over 20 years of mortgage origination experience. Meanwhile, as vice president of mortgage lending, Kahramanian will work to expand Certainty Home Lending’s presence in the Southern California markets from his Calabasas location. He joins the company with over 20 years of mortgage origination experience.

Merchants Bank has announced the hiring of Francisco Guzman as an affordable lending loan officer, based out of the company’s headquarters in Carmel, Indiana. His recent roles in the mortgage industry were at American Financial Network and America’s Mortgage Professionals. He attended Wabash College, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Spanish with a minor in philosophy.

Hometap has announced the appointment of Diane Wold as director of structured products. Most recently, she was at Wells Fargo, where she served as senior vice president in the Home Lending Capital Markets team. She has spent almost 30 years in the secondary mortgage market, also holding positions at GMAC, Two Harbors Investment Corp.

Greystone has announced that Alex Chang has joined the firm as a senior managing director. In his new role, Chang will focus on a number of initiatives, including the firm’s bridge lending capabilities through Greystone Monticello as well as expanding the firm’s bank and alternative capital relationships. Chang was most recently focused on bridge-to-agency opportunities at PGIM Real Estate; prior to that role, he spent over 13 years at Freddie Mac Multifamily. Earlier in his career, he also spent time at Mezz Cap and Bear Stearns. Chang earned a bachelor’s degree from University of Virginia and a master’s degree in finance from American University.

The Community Home Lenders of America (CHLA) has announced that Amanda Tucker has been appointed to its board of directors. In this role, Tucker will support the organization’s mission in promoting federal mortgage programs and regulations which support community mortgage lenders. She brings over two decades of experience in risk and compliance management to CHLA, including her current role as chief risk and compliance Officer at Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group. She holds a bachelor of arts in political science from Hartwick College.
