Notable mortgage industry additions and promotions, Feb. 19-23

Guaranteed Rate has announced the return of Jeff Nelson as Southeast divisional manager. Nelson will be based out of Charlotte, overseeing sales operations and partnerships as well as spearheading Guaranteed Rate’s expansion efforts in key markets throughout the Southeast. Nelson brings nearly 30 years of experience in mortgage banking, beginning in 1991, to Guaranteed Rate. He graduated from the University of the Pacific with a bachelor of science degree in business administration.

Kind Lending has announced that William Fisher and Michael Falce have joined its team as executive vice president of non-QM and director of capital markets, Non-QM Division, respectively. Fisher brings with him over 11 years of non-QM experience, previously serving as the EVP of non-QM and jumbo lending at LoanStream. Falce, on the other hand, has a background in non-QM lending that spans over 15 years. Previously, he was vice president at Oaktree Funding.

Certainty Home Lending has named Darius Korybko as vice president of business development. With nearly 20 years of experience in the industry, Korybko will be based in Certainty’s Chicago office.

First Home Mortgage Corporation has tapped vice president of business development Chris Channell to lead its new location in downtown Bethesda, Maryland.

Sagent has appointed Geno Paluso as CEO. Paluso will succeed current CEO Dan Sogorka, who will remain with the company as an advisor before transitioning to a new opportunity. Paluso is a retired U.S. Navy Captain; immediately prior to joining Sagent, served as vice president of business development for BAE Systems.

Mortgage Cadence has announced that George Morales will join the company’s sales team. Morales has nearly 25 years of mortgage & real estate industry experience with companies like Primary Residential Mortgage, Inc., and American Advisors Group. He also previously served as Mortgage Cadence’s reverse mortgage product manager.
