Notable mortgage industry additions and promotions: July 22-26

Dunmor has announced the appointments of Andy Thienkosol as chief operating officer and Melissa Perez as senior vice president of operations. Thienkosol previously served as chief revenue officer for Dunmor and had previous experience at Genesis Capital and CoreVest Finance. Perez brings over 20 years of experience to Dunmor, previously serving as director of operations at First Republic Bank. She also held leadership roles at Prospect Mortgage, Citinet Mortgage and Countrywide.

Hometap has announced the promotion of Eric Chacon to chief information officer. As Hometap’s first chief information officer, he will oversee the company’s complete technology landscape, unifying all of its systems, data, and product/design leadership under a single organization. He started his career with a computer science degree from the University of Florida before becoming a technology strategy consultant in the early 2000s and joining Citigroup in various leadership roles.

Washington Trust has announced that Anthony A. Botelho, executive vice president, has been appointed chief lending officer and has assumed responsibility for the bank’s Commercial and Industrial Lending, Commercial Real Estate Lending, Business Banking and Cash Management groups. He has more than 35 years of banking experience, having joined Washington Trust in 2021 from Freedom National Bank, where he served as president and CEO. Botelho holds an MBA from Bryant University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island.

Acrisure has announced that John Tuttle, currently vice chairman of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), will join the company as president effective Sept. 1. Throughout 17 years at the NYSE and its parent, Intercontinental Exchange, Tuttle served in various leadership roles, including chief operating officer and chief commercial officer at the NYSE. Prior to joining the NYSE, he served in the U.S. Department of State under President George W. Bush. He received his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University and earned a masters of business administration degree from the University of Notre Dame.

Mobility Market Intelligence (MMI) has announced today that Dan Jones has joined the company as chief data officer. Jones joins MMI after a 17-year tenure at Rocket Companies, where he held progressive leadership roles from business intelligence engineer to senior vice president and head of data intelligence at Rocket Mortgage and Rocket Central. Jones graduated with a master’s degree from Michigan State University, where he studied management of information systems and computer science.

Asurity Technologies has announced that Patti Joyner has joined the company to lead its training business. In this new senior leadership role, Joyner will spearhead the expansion of Asurity’s training initiatives. Prior to joining Asurity, Joyner founded and led training and advisory provider Financial Solutions.
