Notable mortgage industry additions and promotions, May 22-26

Union Home Mortgage (UHM) announced the elevation of Matt Roberts to regional manager, focusing on sales growth across much of the West Coast, including Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington. Roberts joined UHM in January 2023 and has nearly 20 years of mortgage industry experience in a variety of production and leadership roles.

Trustar Mortgage announced the hiring of Chip Beveridge as executive vice president of mortgage production. With more than 40 years of mortgage banking sales experience in building and managing sales teams, he joins the Trustar Mortgage team from One American Bank, where he led the Mid-Atlantic region as a division manager.

Ross Mortgage Corp. tabbed Susan Webber, a 35-year veteran of the mortgage industry, as branch manager of the company’s newest team based in Charlotte.

Radian announced that Sumita Pandit has been named senior executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective immediately. Pandit joined Radian in March 2023 as the company’s first chief growth officer. She will retain those duties after her promotion while assuming responsibility for all Radian financial functions including financial reporting; financial planning and analysis; enterprise capital planning; investment portfolio management and other treasury activities; investor relations; and tax. She joined Radian after serving more than two years as chief operating officer of DLocal. She also has prior leadership experience at J.P. Morgan and Goldman Sachs. She earned an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania.

JLL Capital Markets announced the appointment of senior managing director Alex Sharrin to co-lead its national net-lease platform. Currently working in the company’s Miami office, Sharrin has spent almost eight years with the firm. He joined JLL’s corporate capital markets and net-lease platform in 2015 as an analyst in Chicago. The company has also welcomed senior director Lee Harris to its multi-housing team in Nashville. Harris will focus on agency debt while also providing full capital-stack solutions to multifamily housing, mixed-use and manufactured housing community clients. Prior to his new role, Harris served as a director at Greystone and held previous roles at Red Capital Group and Lument, bringing roughly 13 years of real estate experience. Harris earned his degree from the University of Southern California.

Lender Price announced that Paul Orlando has been appointed as chief strategy officer. As CSO, Orlando will lead several different technology initiatives and play a key role in overseeing areas such as corporate strategy, product innovation and process enhancements. Having held several leadership roles throughout his career, including chief information officer positions at United Wholesale Mortgage, Home Point and Flagstar Bank, Orlando joins Lender Price with more than 36 years of experience in the financial services industry.
