Notable mortgage industry additions and promotions, Sept. 23-27

The personnel moves you need to know from the past week

LoanDepot has announced the appointment of U.S. Navy veteran Bryan Bergjans as its national director of military growth and strategy. Bergjans, who brings nearly two decades of military experience to the role, joins LoanDepot after eight years at Caliber Home Loans. He is currently serving in the Navy Reserves as the readiness officer for Navy Cargo Handling Battalion 11 headquarters in Jacksonville.

Kind Lending has announced the addition of Eduardo Paras as regional manager. Before joining Kind Lending, Paras held leadership roles at various lending companies including LoanDepot, Citibank, JPMorgan Chase and Fifth Third Bank; prior to joining Kind Lending, he served as regional manager at Premier Mortgage Resources.

Premier Plus Lending has launched a new division, Retirement Mortgage Solutions, and has brought in 35-year mortgage industry veteran Joe Conrad to lead it. Conrad, who will serve as managing partner, was most recently with Mutual of Omaha as a retirement mortgage planner and has also held leadership positions at Finance of America and Skyline Home Loans.

Roemanu — the holding company for Toorak Capital Partners, leading capital provider to Merchants Mortgage — has announced the appointment of Charles “Mac” Macintosh as chief operating officer, effective immediately. Macintosh will join the Roemanu Executive Committee, overseeing several areas of the business from its headquarters in Tampa and offices in Summit, New Jersey. Most recently, Macintosh was president of finance of America Home Improvement. Previously, he served as managing director of FirstKey Holdings; managing director and head of RMBS Trading at Raymond James; and director and head of RMBS Trading at Merrill Lynch.

ServiceLink has announced the promotion of Antonio Little to vice president, national sales manager in the origination division, where he will oversee account executives across the country. Little brings 24 years of industry experience to the role, eight of which he’s spent at ServiceLink. The company is also adding two national sales executives: Raquel Pasala, vice president and national sales executive for its default division, and Kevin Ziolkowski, national sales executive for the origination division. Pasala brings more than 15 years’ experience in the mortgage servicing and financing space, coming to ServiceLink after a stint at First Allegiance, where she served as senior vice president in strategy and business relations. Ziolkowski, meanwhile, comes to ServiceLink from Magellan Solutions USA, where he was director of business development. Previously, Ziolkowski spent nearly a decade as vice president of sales at Black Knight, where he focused on data and analytics partnerships nationwide.
