The National Association of Realtors (NAR) has named Nykia Wright its permanent CEO, effective immediately. Wright has served in the interim CEO role since November 2023. Wright began her career in the financial services industry before rising to the post of CEO at the Chicago Sun-Times and was also a strategy and business transformation consultant who advised Fortune 500 companies and universities on operational, financial and performance improvement projects. She is also the co-founder of software-as-a-service startup SonicMESSENGER.
Amerihome has announced Jordan Higgins as the newest addition to its non-delegated sales team. Higgins, who has more than a decade of experience in mortgage, has held roles at Promontory MortgagePath, Verus Mortgage Capital and Lenders One. She is also the founder of Elysian Fields Yoga.
Starwood Capital Group has announced that Andrew J. Sossen will rejoin the firm in September as a senior managing director and chief operating officer. In this role, he will be a member of Starwood Capital’s executive committee and oversee the day-to-day operations of the firm. Since his departure in 2023, Sossen worked for a private equity firm focused on commercial real estate private credit strategies; prior to that, Sossen spent close to 14 years at Starwood Capital, including serving as Starwood Property Trust’s chief operating officer since July 2011 and its general counsel, chief compliance officer and executive vice president since January 2010. Prior to joining Starwood Capital, he served as the general counsel of KKR & Co.’s asset management business and KKR Financial Holdings LLC.

In his new role, Armenta is responsible for accelerating a variety of loan products into the market that quickly generate accretive revenues and liquidity for lenders, depositories, independent mortgage banks (IMBs), community banks, and credit unions, along with their servicing and subservicing partners. Armenta brings 20 years of mortgage industry leadership experience to Incenter, most recently as senior vice president-enterprise sales at Computershare Loan Services. Other previous positions include executive vice president and chief revenue officer at LoanFuel and managing director at Compass Analytics.
