Notable mortgage industry hires and promotions, March 30-April 3

 
Pollock

Anchor Loans has hired Andy Pollock as its new chief operating officer. Pollock has a 25-year track record in mortgage banking and lending, including his most recent role as senior relationship manager with the Radian Group. He has also been president and CEO of First Franklin; managing partner at Global Logic Advisors; co-CEO at Rushmore Loan Management; and president and CAO of First California Mortgage Company.

 
Wilczewski

Ross Mortgage Corporation, headquartered in Michigan, has announced the appointment of Len Wilczewski as vice president of mortgage operations. He will be responsible for evaluating and optimizing the company’s systems and process flows as well as overseeing and supporting the operations team. He comes to the firm with 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry, previously working for Level One Bank as vice president of residential lending.

 
Johnson

Clay Johnson has joined Guaranteed Rate Affinity as a regional sales manager. He joins the company with over a decade of mortgage industry experience, serving with both Castle & Cooke Mortgage and Castle Rock Financial Services for 11 years each. In his new role, he will oversee Guaranteed Rate Affinity’s growth in the western United States, overseeing the company’s new branch and team of loan officers in Midvale, Utah.

 
Lee

Compliance consulting firm Mortgage Quality Management and Research (MQMR) has announced the promotion of Mabel Lee to warehouse due diligence manager and the addition of Scott Weintraub as internal audit manager. Lee — who first joined MQMR as internal audit manager in 2018 — will oversee the company’s team of operations risk managers in her new role. She has more than 30 years of experience in the mortgage business, having previously served as customer account risk manager, credit risk manager and quality control manager at Fannie Mae and customer performance analysis supervisor and senior mortgage analyst at Freddie Mac. She holds an executive master of business administration degree from Claremont Graduate University and a bachelor of science degree in business administration from San Francisco State University. Weintraub, meanwhile has over 20 years of experience in legal and regulatory compliance, internal audit management, and organizational risk management, having served as chief compliance officer for several large lenders. He will oversee MQMR’s team of internal audit managers in his new position. He holds a juris doctor degree from George Washington University School of Law and a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Stanford University.

Tech solutions company FirstClose has added Joe Dahleen as its new senior vice president of strategy and sales. He will be responsible for working with the company’s enterprise sales and product development. He is a 25-year veteran of the mortgage industry, most recently as executive vice president and chief strategy officer for MortgageHippo, Inc., and has held executive level positions for banks, thrift and loans, Wall Street firms and independent mortgage banking companies.

Bowen

Grandbridge Real Estate Capital has announced that Kenneth H. Bowen has joined the company’s Columbus, Ohio, commercial mortgage loan origination team as senior vice president and office manager. In his new position, Bowen will be responsible for originating commercial mortgages and growing the Columbus office to better serve borrowers throughout the state. Prior to joining Grandbridge, Bowen had his own commercial mortgage brokerage and consulting firm. He has also held positions with Oak Grove Capital, JLL, Red Capital Group and Banc One Capital Funding. Bowen earned his bachelor’s degree at Yale College.

 
McCrory

Terra McCrory has joined Quality Mortgage Services as senior quality control mortgage analyst, a new hybrid position designed to attract industry talent to fulfill key audit positions in a remote capacity. McCrory’s role will assist QMS in bringing additional industry expertise to their review, audit and analysis components of quality control. Prior to joining QMS, she worked for Guild Mortgage Company as quality assurance and risk manager. She has also held positions at Corporate Mortgage Advisors, Fieldstone Mortgage and Rancho Vista National Bank.

 
Meese

The American Armed Forces Mutual Aid Association (AAFMAA) has named Michael J. Meese president. Following a 32-year career in the U.S. Army, he joined AAFMAA as chief operating officer in 2013, before being promoted to executive vice president and secretary in 2018. He is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy and the National War College and earned his MPA, M.A., and Ph.D. from Princeton University.

LenderClose has added three new faces to its growing team, including data analyst Kamal Sager, product manager Tabitha Rice and project manager Christina Woods. Sager comes to LenderClose comes from Microsoft, where he most recently provided data center IT technical support. His background also includes experience as consulting advisor to the U.S. government and executive director and CEO of Orbit Axis Company for Pro AV & IT Solutions. He has four degrees, including a doctorate from the College of Science at Baghdad University and a post-doctorate from the Tokyo Institute of Technology. Rice, who most recently was product manager at Equifax, will identify and fill product gaps, provide insights on growing market share, and help implement a product development road map for LenderClose. Woods brings almost a decade of experience to the company, including quality assurance and regulatory audits for a multi-national company. Prior to joining LenderClose, she served as managed services project coordinator for Associated Computer Systems, and she has also worked for the Dallas County Assessor’s Office. At LenderClose, she will collaborate with stakeholders to improve product and process quality.
