Notable mortgage industry hires and promotions, August 23-August 27

Deephaven has promoted Mack Walker to senior vice president, director of capital markets. He joined the company six years ago and was previously vice president, capital markets. In his new position, he is charged with driving the growth and profitability of all Deephaven sourcing channels, including product development and the delivery of non-QM assets into the secondary market. He holds a bachelor of arts in finance from Wofford College.

Onward has added Rob Webb as its CEO. Webb brings more than 20 years of healthcare industry experience to the fintech and proptech marketplaces. He previously held several roles at UnitedHealth Group and Optum, most recently serving as the president of UnitedHealth Group Ventures. Prior to UnitedHealth Group, he worked in private equity with One Equity Partners, Equity Group Investments, and Arthur Andersen. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Equity Prime Mortgage (EPM) has announced the addition of Kevin DeLory to the executive team as chief lending officer. DeLory will be responsible for transforming EPM’s third party and consumer experience to a new level in this role.

Alterra Home Loans has announced it has promoted Marc Hernandez to president. Previously, he served as Alterra’s executive vice president of retail lending. Hernandez will be responsible for sales, operations, and marketing. Hernandez, who has 17 years of mortgage experience, joined Alterra in 2015; previously, he held roles at Countrywide, Bank of America and Huntington Bank. He holds a bachelor of science in information systems from the University of Notre Dame.

ChainLogix Mortgage Solutions has announced that Guadalupe Garcia has been appointed national sales executive, expanding the company’s West Coast presence. She will be focused on developing the company’s title services, including title search, tax report, post-closing and recording. She reports to Tim Moreland, senior vice president, Operations and Business Development at ChainLogix. She has a decade of experience in the mortgage industry, beginning her career in the mortgage division of CashCall and most recently holding the role of business development manager at SYNRGO, Inc.

JLL Capital Markets announced that it has hired Melissa Marcolini Quinn and Lee Weaver as senior managing directors to oversee their respective offices’ debt and equity platforms. In their new roles, Quinn will co-lead the Orlando capital markets office alongside senior managing director Brad Peterson, and Weaver will join senior managing director Matt Mitchell as the Tampa capital markets office co-lead. Quinn has more than 17 years of finance experience, most recently led an Orlando capital markets office for a commercial services firm. She earned a BSBA degree in finance from the University of Central Florida. With more than 24 years of commercial real estate industry experience, Weaver led the Tampa capital markets office for a commercial services firm before joining JLL.
