Greystone has appointed Marc Fox as chief financial officer, effective June 1. Fox, who will be based in New York, joins Greystone from Ladder Capital Finance, where he served as CFO for 12 years. Prior to Ladder Capital, he served as executive vice president and treasurer at GMAC Commercial Mortgage (Capmark Financial Group). He holds both an MBA and a bachelor of science degree in economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
SimpleNexus has appointed Cathleen Schreiner Gates as its new CEO. She began her engagement with the organization as a board member in April 2020 and was named president in September that year. Previously, she served as executive vice president of sales and marketing at digital mortgage technology provider Ellie Mae (now ICE Mortgage Technology).

He comes to Nations Lending from Caliber Home Loans, where he served as vice president, head of learning and development.

With over 25 years of industry experience in both retail and wholesale, Lewis comes to Homespire from Guaranteed Rate Affinity, where he served as vice president of renovation lending.

He has more than 20 years working in both the software technology and mortgage industries, beginning his career at Symantec before moving on to Equator and LenderLive. He comes to AHP from ComputerShare Loan Services.
Midwest Loan Solutions, Inc., a subsidiary of University Bank, has announced that Jerry Walters joined the organization as the director of mortgage warehouse financing. Walters will guide the Warehouse division’s policies, procedures and products in addition to growing new business. With over 20 years in mortgage warehouse finance, he comes to the company from Ashlin Resources. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in marketing management from the State University of New York.
CapStar Bank has announced the hiring of Heather Anderson as mortgage loan officer with a concentration in the Nashville market. With over 20 years of mortgage banking experience, she joins CapStar having most recently served as mortgage advisor at Pinnacle Financial Partners in Nashville since 2008. Previously, she was a mortgage loan officer at First Tennessee (now First Horizon). Anderson earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She will work from CapStar’s Hendersonville location.
Ncontracts has announced that Rafael DeLeon has joined the company as senior vice president of industry engagement. DeLeon will oversee the company’s regulatory outreach efforts and work with Ncontracts’ customers around the country to help them with the changing regulatory landscape in Washington, D.C. He joins the company after serving as the director of banking relations for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
Avanze Tech Labs announced today that Shashank Cukkemane has joined the company as vice president. In this position, Cukkemane will focus on enhancing the company’s strategic business practices, and will immediately concentrate on establishing Avanze’s Solutions and Technology Implementation organization, as well as developing a scalable customer success program. He brings more than 17 years of experience in the mortgage industry and joins Avanze Tech Labs from Sourcepoint, where he led the organization’s Settlement Services and Reverse Mortgage business.
