Notable mortgage industry hires and promotions, Oct. 25-29

Angel Oak Companies announced that David Raju has been appointed as its group chief information officer. Raju previously served as founder and CEO of Covience, an advisory-services and banking-as-a-service platform that was acquired by Angel Oak in September 2021. In his new role, Raju will oversee the development, optimization and integration of technology to improve the digital transformation across all Angel Oak companies. Prior to founding Covience, Raju held various C-level positions, including serving as chief technology and operations officer at Ally Canada. More recently, he was the president and CEO at Zag Bank. Raju earned a master’s in business administration in corporate finance and a master’s in information assurance from the University of Dallas.

CMG Financial announced the hiring of Timothy M. Quinlan Sr. as regional sales manager for Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Missouri. Quinlan has more than 25 years of financial-services leadership experience, most recently serving as vice president and Midwest mortgage sales leader at Huntington Bank. He also has held mortgage roles at TCF Bank, Fifth Third Bank, Wells Fargo, PNC Bank, Aadus Banc Corp. and Harris Bank.

Flagstar Bank named James Campbell as executive vice president and head of servicing for Flagstar’s residential mortgage business. He brings more than 30 years of experience in the financial-services industry to Flagstar, most recently as head of servicing and post-closing at Caliber Home Loans. His other industry experience includes serving as director and head of asset management for the residential mortgage-backed securities group at Deutsche Bank, and as a director at Credit Suisse.

Guaranteed Rate Affinity named Brian McRae as an originating manager in Chesterfield, Missouri. Previously, he was senior vice president of mortgage lending at the Central Bank of St. Louis, and he also served as a senior mortgage loan officer at North American Savings Bank.

Pamela Herrmann joined On Q Financial as vice president of marketing. Under her leadership, the company will focus on customer experience and deepening engagements with borrowers and mortgage consultants. Herrmann has more than 25 years of consulting experience. She previously served as vice president of marketing and customer experience at Mortgage Cadence.

Title Alliance announced Catherine Hartnett as underwriting counsel for its western division. As underwriting counsel, she will be the first point of contact regarding transactional matters, including contract issues, earnest-money disputes, title questions and complex escrow-related matters. She joins Title Alliance with more than 30 years of legal experience. Her career began as an assistant city attorney and prosecutor in Missouri before she became an associate and partner at a law firm, and more recently she served as general counsel for a regional title company. Hartnett holds degrees from Benedictine College and the University of Missouri.

Ocrolus added Avi Marcus as its new vice president of mortgage strategy. Prior to joining Ocrolus, he held leadership roles at Evolve Mortgage Services, Pavaso and Old Republic National Title Insurance Co.

Colliers International announced that Garrison Gore was promoted to assistant vice president. Gore, who specializes in multifamily sales and development, joined Colliers as an intern in May 2017 and was most recently an associate. He attended the University of South Carolina, where he studied finance and real estate.
