Some familiar names appear among the biggest earners in Scotsman Guide’s rankings of the 2026 Top Mortgage Brokers, led by Mark Cohen of Cohen Financial Group, who claimed the top brokered volume for the fourth year in a row.
Cohen brokered $933.7 million across 692 loans, an 18% increase from his 2025 winning volume, and nearly twice the dollar volume of the second-place finisher.
But Jeffrey Miller of Truss Financial Group is making up ground quickly. Miller led the overall count of brokered loans with 1,351 for a total volume of $474.1 million. His ranking has increased steadily over the years. After placing 32nd in the 2022 rankings, he ranked 16th in 2023, ninth in 2024 and fourth in 2025.
In this year’s rankings, Miller usurped Thuan Nguyen for the second-place spot. Over the previous three years, Nguyen had finished in second place and held the top spot in 2022 over Cohen. Working with Loan Factory, Nguyen brokered 937 loans — the second most in units — and finished fifth in brokered volume with $341.1 million.
Vipul Hapani of Vema Mortgage in North Carolina placed third in brokered loan volume, with $345.6 million on 754 brokered loans. He was also the highest-ranked broker outside of California. Brian Cooke of World Home Loans was just behind Hapani in fourth place, with $344 million in brokered volume on 683 loans.

Scotsman Guide ranked 502 brokers, who had a combined broker volume of $26.8 billion and 57,706 brokered loans. That averages 115 loans and $53.4 million per broker.
California dominated the rankings. The Golden State had 47 of the top 100, a far cry from Arizona and Florida, which each had seven. Colorado had five and Texas had four.
C2 Financial Corp. had nine of the top 100 brokers. E Mortgage Capital had six, while American Pacific Mortgage, Edge Home Finance and Go Rascal all had four.
