Vishal Garg is not letting the company he founded go without a fight.
The former CEO of digital-focused mortgage lender Better Home & Finance Corporation was removed from his position on Aug. 3 and replaced by Daniel Lewis as interim CEO, less than a week after Lewis had been appointed to Better’s board.
But the move was not as mutual as the company stated at the time. Since then, Better has sued Garg, accusing him of violating federal securities laws, including by coordinating with an undisclosed “group” of shareholders, making a series of false and misleading statements and engaging in unlawful solicitation of shareholder support.
