Notable mortgage industry hires and promotions, January 31-February 4

Panorama Mortgage Group (PMG) has announced that Sarah Gonzalez has joined the firm as president and chief operations officer. In this role, Gonzalez will oversee all core functions of the business and her focus will be on leading PMG and its executive team in deepening the firm’s scalability and accelerating its growth.

Button Finance has announced the appointment of Amanda Niswonger as senior account manager, focusing on developing and nurturing institutional mortgage broker relationships. She will be responsible for new revenue generation by expanding Button Finance’s existing mortgage broker network. She brings over 15 years of sales experience in the mortgage industry, including previous experience at AIG and other mortgage insurers. Button Finance has also hired Brendan Breitinger as an account executive. Before Button Finance, Brendan held positions at Rocket Mortgage and United Wholesale.

Title Alliance has announced the elevation of Michelle Ellis to general manager of Pennsylvania. She will be accountable for profitability metrics set forth for each individual company and will also oversee all new joint venture launches. She joined Title Alliance in 2021, serving as implementation specialist. Prior to that, she spent most of her career in the real estate industry, beginning as an agent in 2015 and becoming market center administrator with Keller Williams.

Scott Griffin Financial has announced that Shona Killoughery has joined the company as vice president of national business development. Killoughery will be responsible for fostering new relationships with real estate agents and expanding the company on a national level. Prior to joining Scott Griffin Financial, Killoughery led the expansion for several companies including Better Real Estate and Redfin.

Polunsky Beitel Green, LLP, has added former Texas mortgage oversight commissioner Caroline C. Jones as special counsel. Jones will advise clients in navigating all phases of the regulatory environment for residential mortgage lending. A graduate of Tulane University and St. Mary’s University School of Law, Jones served as national compliance director and legal counsel for DHI Mortgage and deputy commissioner and general counsel at the Texas Department of Savings & Mortgage Lending before becoming commissioner in 2014.

Pearlmark has added Steve Gordon as a managing director in its New York City office. Gordon joins Pearlmark with a focus on debt investment originations and capital formation, bringing over 25 years of real estate investment experience. Previously, he was with Hunt Companies, where he served as a senior managing director and head of Hunt Capital Management. Prior to his time at Hunt, he served as managing director at HPS Investment Partners and Sorin Capital and as partner/portfolio manager at MKP Capital Management. He also served as a managing director at Bear Stearns, where he oversaw non-investment grade CMBS trading. He received his bachelor of science degree in finance from Penn State University.

Ascendant National Title (ANT) has announced that Zach Hines has joined the company as vice president, national sales. In this new role, Hines will be responsible for seeking and supporting new clients for the company’s title and closing services. He joins ANT from Amrock. During his career, Hines has also worked for Equity National Title and LandAmerica Financial Group.
