Union Home Mortgage (UHM) has acquired the origination assets of AmeriTrust Mortgage Corp. UHM, which ranked No. 14 in Scotsman Guide’s 2026 Top Mortgage Lender Rankings, assumes control of AmeriTrust’s retail branches, wholesale broker relationships and corresponding sales channels, expanding both its wholesale and non-qualified mortgage reaches.

NEXA Lending announced that Mike Kortas has assumed full ownership of the company following the resolution of litigation between Kortas and former business partner Mat Grella. Financial terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

Earlier in July, Kortas had announced the launch of evoLend, a mortgage servicing company approved for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Ginnie Mae loans that aims to foster relationships between NEXA loan officers and borrowers for the life of the loan. In a corresponding move, Tammy Richards, NEXA’s chief strategy officer, was named CEO of evoLend.

Private lending fintech company New Silver has acquired Mayflower Venture Partners, a Massachusetts-based direct lender that specializes in fix-and-flip and new construction loans for both single-family and small multifamily properties. The deal strengthens New Silver’s footprint in New England while expanding Mayflower’s funding capacity and loan product offerings, including debt-service coverage ratio rental loans.

AnnieMac Home Mortgage has rolled out construction-to-permanent (CTP) loans in 32 states. Building on the lender’s 2025 acquisition of Home Solution Lenders Inc. (HSL), the CTP program will be headed by Ricky Peacock, senior vice president of the HSL division at AnnieMac.

The Mortgage Office (TMO), a loan servicing and origination software provider, has acquired SFR Analytics, a data analytics company catering to the private lending market. The deal allows TMO to provide private lenders with market intelligence in areas like borrower, lender and investor activity, regional data, risk areas and other industry trends.

Home equity investment platform Point has closed a $508.6 million rated asset-backed securitization of its HEI assets. According to the company, it’s the largest-ever transaction of this kind in the HEI segment, with more than 30 institutional investors participating in the securitization.

Finance of America Reverse LLC announced it has finalized its acquisition of reverse mortgage servicing rights from Onity Mortgage Corp. The all-cash deal involves approximately 20,000 Ginnie Mae home equity conversion mortgages with about $5.2 billion in unpaid principal balance.

Fairway Home Mortgage announced the launch of Fairway SAFE, the acronym standing for senior advocacy and financial education. The nonprofit initiative, which had its first educational webinar on July 29, aims to help older adults and their families avoid financial scams.

The National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB) announced a strategic partnership with WeeklyroadMAP, a popular sales strategy podcast hosted by Brian Hale and Maria Elena Jaimes that airs Fridays at 9 a.m. Pacific Time. As part of the collaboration, NAMB members receive exclusive discounted rates to WeeklyroadMAP’s membership tiers.

Real estate appraisal management company Class Valuation announced it has been verified by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to support the Uniform Property Data Report (UPDR) specification under Uniform Property Dataset Version 1.0, which is now mandatory for mortgage applications received by the government-sponsored enterprises starting June 30. The UPDR is a report template designed to streamline reviews and improve consistency in the underwriting process.

Mortgage tech company Docutech, an affiliate of First American Financial Corp., announced an integration with Talk’uments that connects Docutech’s document generation platform with Talk’uments’ interactive multilingual mortgage communication software to support lenders serving first-time borrowers and those with limited English proficiency.

Mortgage fintech company Beeline Holdings has completed its acquisition of artificial intelligence company MagicBlocks, bringing the provider of certain AI-driven components of its platform in-house. With the move, Beeline assumes ownership of the infrastructure behind Bob, the AI assistant developed by MagicBlocks that communicates directly with borrowers during the digital loan application process and through website and text message inquiries.
