Industry Watch: Maxwell acquires LenderSelect, Incenter announces new MSR services and more

CBC Mortgage Agency is celebrating its 10-year anniversary by unveiling a new rebrand for its correspondent investor and Chenoa Fund downpayment assistance programs.

First Home Mortgage Corp. is opening a new branch office in Gainesville, Virginia, under the leadership of newly named branch manager Jodi White. With this addition, First Home Mortgage will bring its total number of offices to 32.

Maxwell announced the acquisition of solutions provider LenderSelect Mortgage Group, a mortgage solutions provider to community financial institutions throughout the eastern U.S. The transaction grows Maxwell’s market share by providing 180-plus LenderSelect customers with access to Maxwell’s full suite of solutions, including Maxwell Private Label Origination, the company’s mortgage-as-a-service platform.

Incenter Diligence Solutions announced expanded offerings for the mortgage servicing rights (MSR) trading market, complementing the trading services provided by sister company Incenter Mortgage Advisors. For each buyer or seller, Incenter’s due-diligence team creates a tailored review scope based on seasoning, geography, performance and other key portfolio attributes. The firm also individualizes reporting and document delivery services. This approach encompasses all of Incenter’s MSR-related services, such as acquisition reviews, data-to-document validation, compliance reviews, document inventory, trailing document reconciliation, servicing boarding audits and pay history reviews.

Planet Financial Group added a commercial servicing division to its family of companies, which will be led by Planet Management Group executive vice president James DePalma and senior vice president Gigi Woods. Planet has managed commercial assets since its inception in 2007. After experiencing significant organic portfolio growth and client demand, Planet expanded its investment in the commercial platform’s talent, technologies and systems.
