Notable mortgage industry additions and promotions, May 15-19

Embrace Home Loans announced that Greg Dalgarno has joined the company’s Timonium, Maryland, branch as sales manager. Dalgarno will focus on growing the branch and will specialize in new construction home loans in Maryland and the mid-Atlantic region. He has more than 20 years of mortgage industry experience, previously at Guaranteed Rate and Wells Fargo.

First Home Mortgage Corp. named Jodi White as branch manager of its newly opened office in Gainesville, Virginia. White brings more than 27 years of experience in the mortgage industry. She holds an MBA from Averett University.

Dovenmuehle Mortgage appointed Ron Malik as the company’s new senior vice president of default servicing. In this role, Malik will oversee Dovenmuehle’s special servicing initiatives while maintaining compliance and service satisfaction in all areas of default servicing. After serving as Dovenmuehle’s vice president of loss mitigation and collections for almost a decade, Malik most recently served as the senior vice president of servicing administration for Wintrust Mortgage. Before his first stint with Dovenmuehle, Malik worked in default administration at HSBC Mortgage Services.

Planet Financial Group tabbed executive vice president James DePalma and senior vice president Gigi Woods of Planet Management Group to lead its new commercial servicing division. DePalma has more than three decades in mortgage finance, including executive positions in special servicing, default management, specialty finance, credit administration and mortgage trading. Previously, he was president of Seneca Mortgage Servicing, a $50 billion loan servicing platform. Woods also has more than 30 years of experience in building organizational excellence. She came to Planet after serving as senior vice president of portfolio default management at Seneca Mortgage Servicing, and she previously held management positions at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, Clayton/North American Mortgage Co., Sibley Mortgage Corp., and First Federal Savings and Loan.

Rithm Capital announced that Satish Mansukhani joined the company as managing director in investment strategy. In his role, Mansukhani will lead in-house research, strategic positioning and emerging opportunities within Rithm’s investment portfolio and operating platforms. Prior to joining Rithm, Mansukhani served as managing director and head of agency mortgage-backed securities research at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Prior to his role at Bank of America, Mansukhani served as managing director and head of mortgage strategy for fixed-income research at Credit Suisse. Before that, he was a managing director at Bear Stearns in the financial analytics and structured transactions group.

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) announced that Lake Coulson has been named as its new chief lobbyist and senior vice president for government affairs. With more than 20 years of policy and management experience, Coulson will serve as the association’s lead lobbyist and oversee its federal, state and local lobbying efforts, as well as guiding the activities of NAHB’s political action committee, BUILD-PAC, and its grassroots network. For the past 11 years, Coulson has represented NAHB on Capitol Hill in a senior management position as vice president of government affairs. Before joining NAHB in 2012, he was the executive director of government affairs for the National Electrical Contractors Association.

FormFree announced the appointment of Jonathan Nahil as chief technology officer. He will be responsible for designing software systems, collaborating with management on strategic initiatives and providing technical guidance to product development teams. With more than 20 years of experience in software architecture, Nahil’s career includes senior software leadership positions at Twilio, Amazon and Accenture.
