Notable mortgage industry additions and promotions, April 1-5

The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) announced that Debra Chew has been named deputy director of the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI) and will continue in her role as deputy director of the Office of Equal Opportunity and Fairness (OEOF). A 25-year veteran practitioner in EEO, diversity and civil rights, Chew came to FHFA from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where she served as the director for the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion since 2012. Prior to NIH, Chew served as the chief human capital officer for the Internal Revenue Service and as a senior staff attorney at the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the General Counsel, Business and Administrative Law Division. She graduated from the University of Virginia and received her law degree from American University.​

Rocket Companies has announced the appointment of Noah Edwards as its new chief accounting officer. Edwards previously held roles within the company as senior vice president and vice president of accounting, as well as at Rocket Mortgage as director of accounting. His previous experience also includes six years at Deloitte.

Cornerstone Home Lending has announced the appointment of Michael A. Iorio as senior vice president of strategic partnerships. In his new role, he will spearhead the expansion of Cornerstone’s Homebuilder Partnership business across targeted builder accounts nationwide, with a focus on cultivating new relationships and enhancing service offerings. He brings to Cornerstone over 25 years of industry expertise, particularly in the areas of ABA partnerships. Prior to joining Cornerstone, Mike served in various leadership capacities at NewRez, CMG Financial, Citywide Home Loans and Stearns Lending, among others. He has a bachelor of business administration from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Northwestern.

Pennsylvania State Employees’ Credit Union (PSECU) has announced an expansion of its mortgage department, adding new team members Julian Light and Helene Hogan as loan originators.

The Community Home Lenders of America (CHLA) has announced that Paulina McGrath has been appointed as vice president. McGrath was chair of the board for Community Mortgage Lenders of America (CMLA), before it merged with CHLA in 2022. Since 2006, McGrath has served as president of Republic State Mortgage Company. She holds a master of arts from George Washington University and bachelor of science from Auburn University.

Mobility Market Intelligence (MMI) has announced that Ryan Minard is its newest senior sales engineer. Minard previously served as a sales engineer for ICE Mortgage Technology’s Surefire CRM platform. He also held the position of director of customer growth at Surefire until Black Knight’s acquisition of the platform in 2021. Prior to joining the mortgage technology space, Minard worked directly for a lender, First Centennial Mortgage, as the marketing and creative manager.

Xactus has announced that Thomas Gallucci has joined Xactus as executive vice president, strategic sales. In this position, he will drive new business by sourcing significant partnership opportunities and enhancing relationships with key accounts for improved retention. He has almost 20 years of financial services and mortgage industry experience. Prior to joining Xactus, Gallucci served as senior vice president, business development at The Mortgage Collaborative.
