Notable mortgage industry additions and promotions, April 24-28

Movement Mortgage announced that Brady Yeager has joined the Movement team as national sales director. In this role, Yeager will lead the company’s expansion across the country. Yeager has been in the finance and mortgage lending industries for 21 years. Shortly after launching his career at UBS in New York City, Yeager returned to the Pacific Northwest to open his own brokerage, which merged with Cobalt Mortgage in 2008. When a major lender acquired the company’s assets in 2014, Yeager was named divisional vice president.

Ross Mortgage Corp. announced the hiring of Melissa Ketchel, Brad Stinson and Tim Ross Jr. as part of the firm’s ongoing expansion into the Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Chicago markets. Ketchel, who will work out of the Grand Rapids office, has eight years of experience in the mortgage industry and previously served as a loan originator at Ross Mortgage from 2009 to 2011. In her new role as a loan partner, she will walk clients through the preapproval process, work with the operations team and serve as the main contact for preliminary loan approval. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Stinson comes to Ross Mortgage with five-plus years of experience in the mortgage industry. Stinson will serve as the Grand Rapids branch manager. As the branch manager for the company’s Chicago office, Ross Jr. will manage outbound origination efforts to meet local home financing needs. He will also be responsible for spearheading growth efforts for the mortgage lender in Chicago. Ross Jr. previously served as the senior vice president of mortgage lending for 12 years at another lending firm in the Chicago area.

Farmers National Bank is expanding its mortgage lending team with the hire of Karen Jindra as mortgage sales manager out of Fairlawn, Ohio. Jindra has been in the mortgage business for more than 25 years.

JLL Capital Markets announced the hiring of Reina Abboud as a senior director with the firm’s Washington, D.C., office. She will focus on debt advisory in the Richmond and Tidewater markets of Virginia. As a former vice president at a full-service capital-markets provider, Abboud joins JLL with 10 years of experience in real estate finance. Prior to that, she served as a financial analyst with Phillips Realty Capital.

Mobility Market Intelligence (MMI), which provides data and market insight tools for the mortgage and real estate industries, announced the hiring of Brian McKray as director of product development. In this role, McKray will guide the creation of new system features and functionality to maintain alignment with the company’s vision and mission, while ensuring customer needs are considered at every stage of product development. McKray comes to MMI from Celebrity Home Loans, where he served as director of marketing optimization. Prior to Celebrity Home Loans, McKray was the director of marketing at Castle & Cooke Mortgage LLC, as well as senior manager of marketing at Academy Mortgage Corp.

Small-scale commercial real estate investment firm Keyway announced the addition of Shara Birn to the company’s leadership team as chief business officer. Birn, who has served as an advisor to Keyway since 2021, has led the real estate and brand development functions for companies such as One Medical and Cityblock Health, and she acted as a key advisor to early-stage companies Bond Vet, Kindbody, Reside Health and Modern Age. Earlier in her career, she worked in real estate private equity supporting investment management and acquisitions at Steelwave. Birn earned her MBA from Stanford University and her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida.
