Notable mortgage industry hires and promotions, April 19-April 23

Planet Home Lending has named John Bosley as president, Mortgage Lending. Bosley, who has two decades of industry experience, will lead the company’s Origination, Fulfillment, Correspondent and Capital Markets divisions. He joined Planet Home Lending in 2012, ascending to executive vice president, Capital Markets and Correspondent Lending, in 2018.

Amerifirst Home Mortgage has appointed Thinh Nguyen to serve as chief information officer (CIO). In his new role, Nguyen will oversee all aspects of the company’s IT department, including its strategy, execution, and infrastructure. He joined the company April 5. He has over 20 years of experience, most recently as CIO of servicing at Flagstar Bank. Before this, he served as senior vice president of information technology at Mr. Cooper, and also previously held leadership roles at Alcon Laboratories, JPMorgan Chase and TPG Capital. He holds a bachelor of science in Information Systems from the University of Texas at Arlington and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.

Union Home Mortgage has announced the hiring of David Rank as national retail business development director. In this role, Rank is responsible for building a team of business development recruiters sourcing and hiring new loan originators nationwide. Prior to joining UHM, Rank spent two decades in management positions leading teams at MidAmerica Bank, National City Mortgage Corporation, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and Eagle Home Mortgage.

Sovereign Lending Group has appointed Allison Wapato as vice president of processing. With over two decades of experience, Alison will be leading Sovereign Lending Group’s mortgage processing department to ensure that all mortgage loans are processed and completed according to established policies, procedures, regulations and guidelines. Previously, she was the assistant vice president of processing at Mr. Cooper. She holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of California. 

Mountain West Financial, Inc. has announced Dan Hapner as its new regional vice president, Production. Dan brings 30 years of real estate and mortgage experience to Mountain West Financial. He earned a certificate in Business Leadership from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Management.

Trez Capital has hired Caperton Putt as managing director of its Atlanta office. Putt brings more than three decades of industry experience to Trez, most recently as senior vice president and Southeast Market manager at Citizens Bank. Before that, Putt spent eight years as senior vice president and regional credit officer at Iberiabank.

AHP Servicing announced that Eric Seabrook has joined the company as president. Prior to joining AHP Servicing, Eric was executive vice president and head of business development at Selene Financial LP. He will begin his tenure by preparing AHP to service government loans.
