Notable mortgage industry hires and promotions, July 26-July 30

Guaranteed Rate Affinity has named Matthew Nguyen as a vice president of mortgage lending in San Francisco. Nguyen joins the Guaranteed Rate Affinity team with 14 years of mortgage industry experience, including lending roles at Citi, Bank of America and Chase.

First American Title Insurance Co. has promoted Kenneth Farmer from state counsel for First American Title’s Mississippi operations to regional underwriting counsel – Gulf Coast. He will continue as Mississippi state counsel and provide underwriting guidance and assistance to title agents in Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Tennessee. Farmer, who has 14 years of experience in residential and commercial real estate, graduated with a degree in management information systems from the University of Southern Mississippi and a master of science degree in real estate and juris doctor from the University of Florida.

Homebot has added former Ellie Mae vice president Jeff Marchetti as vice president of Large Account Enterprise Sales. Marchetti brings more than 20 years of experience in mortgage banking, including national level positions at H&R Block Mortgage, Servicelink and, most recently, Ellie Mae (now ICE Mortgage Technology).

Attom Data Solutions has announced that Lionel Etrillard has joined its leadership team as chief financial officer. Prior to joining ATTOM, Etrillard was the CFO at Episource. Before that, he served as CFO at Callfire, and has led similar teams during his tenures at InvestCloud and iRise. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics from the University of Redlands and a master of business administration in finance from Pepperdine University.

CBRE has announced a pair of promotions within the company’s senior leadership team. Emma Giamartino has been promoted to Global Group president, chief financial officer and chief investment officer. Vikram Kohli has been promoted to Global Group president, business intelligence, which includes oversight of Digital & Technology and Strategy, in addition to his legacy responsibility for Business Insights, Financial Planning & Analysis and Research. Giamartino joined CBRE in February 2018; prior to joining CBRE, she served as director of corporate development at Verizon. Kohli joined CBRE in 2001 and has served in various roles within the company, including chief operating officer of CBRE in Southeast Asia.

Avanze Group has hired Rich King as executive vice president of client success and business strategy and Victor Lee as senior vice president, head of sales and marketing. Previously, Lee was vice president of sales for Synrgo and held roles at Pioneer Technology Group, Computing System Innovations and Creative Data Solutions. King co-founded Abstrax and, upon Abstrax’s acquisition by Solidifi, also joined the leadership team at that company.

Wendi Thom has joined Boston National Title Agency’s National Commercial Services Division as senior vice president of business development. Thom, who is based in Charlotte, was previously vice president of business development at Stewart Title. She graduated from Brigham Young University.

JLL Capital Markets has hired Michael Zaremski and Michael Shmuely as managing directors with the firm’s New York Capital Markets team, focused on multi-housing debt advisory. Zaremski and Shmuely, both former senior directors with a commercial services firm, bring a deep understanding of bridge financing, GSE financing, debt brokerage and mortgage originations across all property types with a specialized focus on multifamily. Zaremski graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Indiana University and earned his certificate in real estate finance and investment from New York University Schack Institute of Real Estate. Shmuely graduated with a bachelor of arts in economics from the University of Michigan.
