Notable mortgage industry hires and promotions, Oct. 18-22

Kristy Fercho, executive vice president and head of home lending at Wells Fargo, was sworn in as chairman of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) during the organization’s 2021 Annual Convention & Expo in San Diego. Fercho currently serves as vice chair of MBA’s diversity and inclusion advisory committee, co-chair of its affordable housing council and as a member of its residential board of governors. Also sworn in during the convention were Matt Rocco, CEO at Grandbridge Real Estate Capital, as chairman-elect and Mark Jones, CEO and co-founder of Amerifirst Home Mortgage, as vice chairman.

New American Funding announced the hiring of Mark Tribuna to serve as the company’s regional business development manager for Arizona, Nevada, and central and northern California. Prior to joining New American Funding, Tribuna served as co-president for the Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity and as lead consultant for Habitat for Humanity International’s national mortgage platform. Currently, Tribuna holds a senior advisory role at CBC Mortgage Agency. He is based out of New American Funding’s Mid-Pacific regional office in Henderson, Nevada.

Guaranteed Rate Affinity named Jason Moore as a vice president of mortgage lending in Montgomery, Ohio.

LenderClose promoted Allen Jingst to chief revenue officer. Jingst shares the responsibility for strategic growth planning as well as alignment across the fintech’s departments. Jingst, who has been with the fintech firm for more than two years, worked with Dwolla and also spent six years at DICE before joining LenderClose.

Nationwide Mortgage Bankers announced that Nate Hernandez has joined as chief operating officer. Hernandez will focus on supervising all daily operations while working with leadership to set company performance goals. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of national sales for Franklin Loan Center, and previously served as national sales director for CMG Financial.

Lenders One announced that Tricia Migliazzo was appointed as senior vice president of origination sales. In this role, Migliazzo will manage the sales teams responsible for Lenders One membership and solutions. She joins Lenders One with more than 20 years of management experience in the mortgage banking industry. She previously served at Altisource as director of business development and at the MBA as vice president of member engagement.

Xpanse added Phil Huff as CEO. In his new role, Huff will lead the company beyond its beta trial to the market nationwide. Huff brings more than 25 years of experience in the real estate finance industry to the company, most recently as managing partner at MorningView Advisors. He also has served in leadership positions at Mortgage Cadence, Altisource and Platinum Data Solutions, and was a co-founder of eLynx.
