Kevin Warsh will officially replace Jerome Powell as chair of the Federal Reserve Board when Powell’s term expires on Friday, lawmakers voted Wednesday. The timing of a swearing-in ceremony has not yet been announced.
After the U.S. Senate confirmed Warsh to serve a 14-year term as governor at the U.S. central bank on Tuesday, senators voted mostly along party lines once again on Wednesday to approve his nomination by President Donald Trump for the top job at the Fed.
