After weeks of rising mortgage rates and plummeting mortgage applications, home sellers who remain optimistic about a robust spring home sales market might be in for a shock as economic impacts of the Iran war continue to unfold.
A new survey by Realtor.com indicates that 37% of sellers nationwide will list their homes this spring with the expectation it sells over listing price, with 83% believing they will get at least their asking price.
“Sellers in peak seller markets like Hartford, Chicago and Indianapolis can reasonably expect strong demand and limited need for price flexibility,” the report suggests.
