Notable mortgage industry hires and promotions, September 21-September 25

 
Golub

Walker & Dunlop, Inc., announced that it has hired Jason Golub as vice president of diversity, equity and inclusion. Golub will be responsible for creating new programs and enhancing existing initiatives that reinforce diversity, equity and inclusion, as pillars of the company’s recruitment, retention, engagement, and development practices. Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Golub was a senior leader at GE legal. Golub holds a bachelor of arts from Connecticut College and a juris doctorate from Columbia University School of Law.

 
Starkweather

Churchill Mortgage has announced that Randy Starkweather has joined the company as chief financial officer. Starkweather brings over 35 years of executive management experience to his new role, where he will be responsible for overseeing Churchill’s financial operations and performance. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and received his master of business administration degree in finance from the University of Minnesota.

 
Devalla

Sagent has appointed Uday Devalla as chief technology officer. Devalla has led technology strategy in housing for more than two decades, most recently as chief information officer at Stearns Lending. Prior to that, Devalla served as a technology executive at Bank of America and its predecessor organization, Countrywide.

 
Mahtani

Guaranteed Rate has named Shaleen Mahtani as a senior vice president of mortgage lending in Parsippany, New Jersey. She joins Guaranteed Rate with over two decades of mortgage industry experience. She received her undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Georgia.

 
Lee

Guaranteed Rate Affinity has added Michael Lee as vice president of mortgage lending, based out of Glendale, California. He joins the Guaranteed Rate Affinity team with over a decade of mortgage industry experience, most recently as a loan consultant with Caliber Home Loans. He also has previous experience as a senior mortgage consultant with Wintrust Mortgage Corporation. He received his degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

 
Meier

Academy Mortgage’s Eastlake branch in Seattle has expanded its leadership team, adding Danny Meier as a producing branch manager. Meier comes to Academy with more than a decade of mortgage experience. Most recently, he was a loan originator for Homebridge Financial Services and Homestreet Bank. He received his business administration degree in finance from the University of Portland.

 
Berry

Greystone has announced that Patrick Berry has joined the company as a senior production manager. Berry, who will be based in Detroit, joins Greystone after 35 years at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), most recently as director of production for FHA 232 loans. He has also held various other positions at HUD, including operations officer, financial analyst, policy specialist, loan specialist and auditor.
